The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends the angels with the Spirit to carry His orders to whichever of His servants He wants so that they would warn people that He is the only God and that people must have fear of Him. 2 He created the heavens and the earth for a true purpose. He is exalted above anything they associate with Him. 3 He has created man from Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge), then behold, this same (man) becomes an open opponent. 4 He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat. 5 And you find beauty in them as you drive them to pasture in the morning and as you drive them back home in the evening; 6 They carry your heavy loads to lands which you would not have been able to reach without great difficulty. Your Lord is certainly Compassionate and All-Merciful. 7 And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
