And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious see verse 43:67) 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
