Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), say, "It has been revealed to me that a party of jinn has listened (to the recitation) of the Quran and has told (their people), "We heard an amazing reading 1 which guides to the right path; so we have believed in it and we will not associate anyone with our Lord, 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 so much so that they came to think, as you [once] thought, that God would never [again] send forth anyone [as His apostle]. 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 Some of us are Muslims and some of us have deviated from the Truth. Whoever has embraced Islam has followed the right guidance. 14 And as for the deviators, for Hell they shall be fuel. 15 (And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance. 16 so that We might try them through this bounty. Whoso turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to suffer a grievous chastisement; 17 All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God. 18 Do not prostrate before anyone other than Him. When the servant of God (Muhammad) preached (his message) the jinn would all crowd around him. 19
