Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
