The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
