The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 closed around them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
