The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
