(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
