The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
