The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9
