۞ And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Journey along with My bondmen within the night, for you will be pursued.” 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
