See you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)? 69 Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send Our messengers. But they will come to know, 70 When around their necks will be shackles and chains; they will be dragged. – 71 into the boiling water and then are thrown into the Fire, 72 Then they will be asked, "Where are the idols which you worshipped besides God?" 73 "Besides Allah" They will say: "They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers. 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 Enter [now] the gates of hell, therein to abide: and how vile an abode for all who are given to false pride!" 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 Before your time We sent other messengers: of them there are some whose story We have related to you, and some whose story We have not related to you. It was not [possible] for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of God: but when the command of God was issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice. There and then, those who stood on falsehoods perished. 78
