EXHORT, then, [O Prophet, all men:] for, by thy Sustainer's grace, thou art neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
