Al-Qalam 2 of 2
Those who are mindful of their Lord will be rewarded with gardens of bliss. 34 What, shall We make those who are submissive like the wrongdoers? 35 What has come upon you that you judge in such a wise? 36 Or, have you a Book from which you study 37 that tells you to do whatever you want? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them: “Which of them can guarantee that? 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able, 42 humbled shall be their eyes, and abasement shall overspread them, for they had been summoned to bow themselves while they were whole. 43 Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Quran. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not. 44 Yet I bear with them, for lo! My scheme is firm. 45 Do you demand some recompense from them that would weigh them down with debt? 46 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 47 So wait with patience for the Command of thy Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish,- when he cried out in agony. 48 Were it not that favor from his Lord had overtaken him, he would certainly have been cast down upon the naked Found while he was blamed. 49 But his Lord exalted him, and included him among His righteous servants. 50 The unbelievers wellnigh strike thee down with their glances, when they hear the Reminder, and they say, 'Surely he is a man possessed!' 51 But it is nothing else than a Reminder to all the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
