Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
