The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
