Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the white forenoon 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
