The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
