(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 And remember You much. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
