The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
