The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is not a jest. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
