O you who believe! obey Allah and His Apostle and do not turn back from Him while you hear. 20 And do not be like those who say: "We have heard," but do not hear. 21 ۞ The worst beasts before Allah are those who are deaf, dumb, and do not understand. 22 Had Allah known of any good in them He would have made them hear, but had He made them hear they would have turned away, averse. 23 O believers, respond to God and the Messenger when He calls you unto that which will give you life; and know that God stands between a man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be mustered. 24 And fear the turmoil which will certainly not fall only upon a few selected unjust people among you; and know that Allah’s punishment is severe. 25 And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful. 26 O ye that believe! betray not the trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor misappropriate knowingly things entrusted to you. 27 Know that your children and your wealth are but a temptation, and that the reward with Allah is great. 28
