In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
