Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other, the verses of the Holy Qur'an, the angels, or the winds. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 "Go to what you used to deny; 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 "Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done." 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be you and the earlier generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of four Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-fourth chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
