The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 that hide, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
