And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
