۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
