Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
