(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
