Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
