Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
