He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
