The Unbelievers say: "What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say thou: travel in the land and behold what like hath been the end of the culprits. 69 And grieve not for them and be not distressed because of what they plan. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Surely you cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear your call if they turn back in flight, 80 And you will not guide the blind out of their error; and none listen to you except those who accept faith in Our signs, and they are Muslims. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
