We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night.
