It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His satanic companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself went astray". 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
