The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 And extended shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
