Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
