The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
