The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 Created man, 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
