The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 Those who when they take the measure from others, take it in full! 2 But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. 3 Do they not think that they will be called to account?- 4 Unto an Awful Day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 Indeed the ledger of the wicked will be in (the lowest depths) Sijjin. 7 What could let you know what the Sijjeen is! 8 A record of misdeeds written. 9 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 10 those who deny the Day of Judgement. 11 Yet none gives the lie to it except the transgressor immersed in sin; 12 When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!" 13 By no means! Aye! encrusted upon their hearts is that which they have been earning. 14 Indeed! On that Day a barrier will be set between them and their Lord, 15 Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire. 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin - 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 It is a (repository of) distinctly written record 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Verily the virtuous shall be in Bliss; 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 You will find in their faces the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given pure wine out of sealed containers 25 The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete. 26 And its mixture is of Tasneem, 27 A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah). 28 Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. 29 And winked at one another as they passed by them; 30 And when they returned to their own followers they returned exulting. 31 And upon seeing the Muslims, they used to say, “Indeed they have gone astray.” 32 But they had not been sent as guardians over them. 33 But on the Day [of Judgment,] they who had attained to faith will [be able to] laugh at the [erstwhile] deniers of the truth: 34 On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). 35 Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? 36
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
