The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
