And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright! 37 And when he comes before Us, he shall say: 'Would that there had been between me and you, the distance of the two Easts' Evil is the companion. 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 Wherefore canst thou make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is is error manifest? 40 But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them; 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 Follow devotedly that which is revealed to you. You are certainly on the right path. 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
