The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On studded thrones. 15 facing one another. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and spreading shade 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for those on the Right, 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
