Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 And those that revive by quickening, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
