Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: 'He has forged it himself' Say: 'No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you can warn a nation to whom none has warned before you, in order that they are guided. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 Such is He who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception, as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind: the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
