Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
