A multitude from the ancients. 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 As for the People on the Left: how miserable will be the People on the Left! 41 (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 42 and the shadows of black smoke 43 neither cold nor graceful in shape. 44 Surely they had lived before in luxury, 45 and persisted in heinous sins. 46 And said: "What! When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised again? 47 “And also our forefathers?” 48 Proclaim, “Without doubt all the former and the latter.” 49 Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. 50 "Then will ye truly,- O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood!- 51 "You verily will eat of the trees of Zaqqum. 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 And shall be drinkers thereon of boiling water. 54 You shall drink it as the thirsty camels drink." 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 So what is your opinion regarding the semen you discharge? 58 Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 that We will change you and cause you to grow again in a way you do not know. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil? 63 Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 "We are ruined, 66 Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour." 67 Have you considered the water you drink? 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 Behold! the fire which ye strike out: 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We made it a reminder and a provision for the needy. 73 Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme! 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
