The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
