O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
