Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And there were those who said, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
